On the vibration-survey method of research of torsional damper characteristics

This paper is dedicated to the tests of the model of the torsional damper with usage of the new special stand, which has permitted to ground the dependence of parameters of vibrational amplitude of the centre and stand flywheel from the parameters of their communication in dry and viscous abrasion. The calculated model of the stand grounded on the classical theory of elastic systems has completely acknowledged results of tests and has allowed to formulate a number of recommendations for maintenance service and diagnostics of dampers.

Analysis of reliability of main engine dampers of vessels (the "Alpinist" project) by torsiographing

Choice of transformation parameters for discrete measurement of torsional vibrations of shafts in ship power plants

In the paper systematic inaccuracies which may appear under the discrete method of torsional vibrations measurement have been analyzed. Calculation formulas for getting transformation parameters with the given quantity of measurement accuracy have been given; concrete values for measuring torsional vibrations of the most prevalent types of engines have been shown.
